K-festival (https://www.kfestival.co.nz) is a cultural event in New Zealand, which will physically take place at Auckland's Trust Arena with thousands of people physically attending.

As part of the festival, a K-pop concert will be live-streamed using multiple 360° cameras through the online hotspot (http://xr-hotspot.live) starting at 3pm on Saturday the 14th of August (NZT).

The Computational Media Innovation Centre (CMIC) at Victoria University of Wellington will be providing their augmented virtual teleportation (AVT) technologies (https://www.wgtn.ac.nz/cmic/research/extended-reality-telecollaboration) to allow those who can't attend in person feel like they're still part of the K-pop concert online.

Using your own VR headset or internet browser (on phone, tablet, or PC), you'll have the freedom to teleport to K-festival virtually, look around within the concert and feel like you're part of the event. This way, anyone can join regardless of their physical location. It is also FREE!

Online attendees will also see exclusive live visual effects (VFX) that heighten the experience. By selecting the "Live VFX" option, you can expect to see virtual characters and effects tailored to each performance that enhance the music and make the K-festival an unforgettable extended reality (XR) experience.

See you soon on-line!
