Business partnership with CentrePort Wellington is a win-win

The School of Marketing and International Business (SMIB) teamed up with CentrePort Wellington to celebrate the student winners of the 2019 SMIB Open Day poster competition.

The School of Marketing and International Business (SMIB) teamed up with CentrePort Wellington to celebrate the 2019 SMIB Open day poster competition, which had entries from current students as well as one staff member. Ten finalists were selected to appear at this year’s SMIB Open Day display and were voted on by over 200 visitors. John Tulloch from CentrePort Wellington, Val Hooper (Head of School), Hongzhi Gao (project leader from IBUS staff) and Hannah Donmez had the honour of congratulating the winner, Rebecca Harpur, and awarding several other cash prizes totaling $1000.

  • Second runner up: Carolina Almaguer
  • Honourable mentions: Tayla Yates, Briah Handa-Oakley, Abigail Buchan, Celine Smith, Baptist Molai, Daniel Raats, and Pou Parore.

The poster competition was such a success that a similar competition will be held next year. So, get your thinking cap on and be sure to take part in 2020.
