J T Campbell Prize for Statistics

Information

This prize arose from a fund subscribed by staff, students, and friends of Professor J T Campbell, Head of the Mathematics Department 1952-1968, upon his retirement.

The prize is awarded to the student of MATH 277 who, in the opinion of the Head of the School of Mathematical and Computing Sciences, the best student in this class and is worthy of the award.

The value of the prize shall be determined after consideration of the income from the fund. The balance of income not expended shall be added to the fund.

The donor requests the recipients to use part of the prize money to purchase a book, or books.

Recipients will be asked to write a letter of thanks, which will be forwarded appropriately.
