Dr Tulasi Parashar

Tulasi Parasar is a space physicist.

Tulasi Parashar

He got his BSc (Hons.) from Panjab University, Chandigarh and   MS from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. After getting his PhD from the University of Delaware, he went to NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory for a postdoctoral fellowship. He returned to Delaware as a postdoc and research scientist before coming to Victoria as a Lecturer. His research interest is in fundamental physics of turbulent kinetic plasmas. They are very common in the universe and are found in near Earth space, solar origin plasmas, and medium between galaxies to name a few. He does massive simulations and analyses data from NASA spacecraft to study these systems.

Tulasi has also interest in public outreach. He has done discussion sessions with students from local schools and colleges in Jalandhar. He also gave a one-week short course on space physics in DAV University Jalandhar in 2017.
