Writers on Mondays: The Next Page 2

Writers on Mondays: The Next Page 2

Vic Books, 1 Kelburn Parade, Kelburn, Wellington

More new writing from the IIML's MA Page students.

Join us for another installment of new work by current students in the Master of Arts in Creative Writing Programme at Victoria University of Wellington Te Herenga Waka’s International Institute of Modern Letters.

The writing on offer traverses worlds old and new, distant and close, cultural and personal in a feast of fiction, non-fiction and poetry from a very strange year. It includes genre-defying, speculative, crime, historical, and contemporary realist fiction, poetry, fragmented portraits, personal essay, and memoir. Celebrate with us the debut of 30 new voices over two nights.

This session features readings from: Tihema Baker, Joan Skinner, Isabelle McNeur, Rose Wunrow, Ethan Donnell, Olly Clifton, Kristene Cristobal, (break), Fergus Porteous, Grace Tong, Petra Nyman, Safia Archer, Joy Holley, Ruby Solomon, and Margot McLean.

Thanks to Vic Books for hosting this session.

Please note: due to pandemic gathering and travel restrictions, we have made the difficult decision not to hold the full Writers on Mondays series  in 2020. However, the popular sessions featuring work in progress by our current Page and Scriptwriting students will go ahead as a series of special events. See all 2020 Writers on Mondays sessions.

Admission is free, but numbers are strictly limited, due to COVID-19. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to modernletters@vuw.ac.nz with the name and date of the session.

The full Writers on Mondays programme will return in July 2021.
