Brexit in the Supreme Court [video]

In a decision watched with interest worldwide, the UK Supreme Court recently ruled that the British Government must obtain statutory authority from Parliament before it can formally start Britain's exit from the EU.

Professor Campbell McLachlan’s Foreign Relations Law was the only work by a living scholar cited by the majority in their judgment. Here, he and Dr Fiona Barker from the School of History, Philosophy, Political Science and International Relations discuss the Brexit decision in a special public lecture hosted by the NZ Centre for Public Law on 26 January 2017.

Special Topic: Foreign Relations Law (LAWS 447/557) with Professor McLachlan is offered in Trimester 1 2017.
