Sharesies for breakfast: The Atom hosts its first alumni meet-up
Over 70 people packed out The Atom at Rutherford House early in the morning to hear from Brooke Roberts and Sonya Williams from Sharesies, a company founded by Wellington School of Business and Government graduates.
Sharesies is a truly innovative company founded on a simple principle: making investing as easy as possible for everyone.
Over pastries and coffee from VicBooks’ baristas, Brooke and Sonya entertained alumni with a range of tales of their student days, how the company evolved and the funny (but true) story of how they came up with the name ‘Sharesies’.
Brooke and Sonya have joined Wellington School of Business and Government's team of Entrepreneurial Ambassadors to help promote student entrepreneurship. Sonya commented “It’s great to see Victoria doing more for student entrepreneurs. I would have loved it if The Atom space was here when I was a student!”
