Working with drones
Before using a drone on campus you must discuss the work with your University liaison.
Your University liaison must contact the Associate Director Campus Living and follow the Filming and photography approval procedure.
Before you can start work, you must also:
- coordinate with your University liaison on a communication plan to let members of the University community know, including Campus Security and Health and Safety
- comply with Part 101 of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations, unless the drone operator is certified under Part 102 of the CAA regulations
- supply a site-specific risk assessment to your University liaison and have this peer reviewed by Health and Safety
- apply to Airshare and receive a written approval.
