Cut costs of living with a Humanities and Social Sciences, and Education accommodation scholarship
Are you returning to study in either the Wellington Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences or the Wellington Faculty of Education and want some support with accommodation costs?
The Wellington Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Education are offering accommodation scholarships for returning students.
The scholarships, which will support students with their University Hall of Residence accommodation costs in 2022. There are 30 scholarships available, worth $5,000 each, for either undergraduate or postgraduate students returning to study in the Faculties.
“The current uncertainties of COVID-19 and different alert levels have added new challenges for students and their families and whānau,” says Professor Jennifer Windsor, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Faculties. “There has been added financial pressure on students, especially in the day-to-day costs of living. It’s a priority for staff in the Humanities, Social Sciences and Education to ease some of that pressure and maintain strong student learning as much as we can. We hope these scholarships provide some support for students in need.”
Applications are now open and will close on 30 September.
