Annual Lecture: Education and early intervention for children on the autism spectrum

The 2020 Wellington Faculty of Education Lecture will focus on education and early intervention for children with autism.

The lecture will consist of two parts. The first part, delivered by Professor Jeff Sigafoos, will provide a general overview of the learning and behavioural characteristics associated with autism. The second part, presented by Dr Hannah Waddington, will review several recent studies conducted by Dr Waddington and her team on early intervention for young children with autism.

Information about the Victoria University of Wellington Autism Clinic will also be presented. Opportunities for informal discussions will occur after the formal presentations for those who attend in person.

RSVPs for in-person attendance is required by 7 October for catering purposes. There is no deadline to register to attend the livestream.
