Category: International Intern 2017
I am studying psychology at the University of Freiburg in Germany, where I am in the course of completing my Bachelor degree. Having lived abroad as a kid with my family I always had a strong interest in other cultures and communication between people of different cultural backgrounds. My passion for travelling which I developed in the last years also fueled this interest. Therefore, an internship abroad in cross-cultural psychology sounded perfect for me.
During my time at the CACR, I was supervised by Dr. Rita McNamara and learned a lot about her research. I also sat in on psychology classes and attended the weekly lab meetings. It was great to learn about cross-cultural psychology and research methods and to gain insight into the work in academia. I enjoyed meeting many interesting and nice people and working in a very friendly and passionate environment.
