Regardless of the outcome of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), it is hard not to feel disappointed about the quality of public debate around it, writes Toby Moore.

Regardless of the outcome of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), it is hard not to feel disappointed about the quality of public debate around it, writes Toby Moore.

"The overall debate has so far done little to illuminate the choices we face, and how we might make the process of global economic integration work better for everyone. In fact, it has often seemed like there are two debates in process of the TPP.

"All trade details hurt some people, so compensation should be part of the debate."
