NCEA Scholarship Series
To support students taking the NCEA Science scholarship exams, the Faculty of Science are hosting a series of day-long workshops.
The New Zealand Scholarship provides recognition and monetary reward to top students in their last year of high school. Scholarship candidates are expected to demonstrate high-level critical thinking, abstraction and generalisation, and to integrate, synthesise and apply knowledge, skills, understanding and ideas to complex situations.
To support students taking the Science scholarship exam this year, the Faculty of Science are hosting a series of day-long workshops.
Each event will focus on a different subject and give students the opportunity to work with Faculty staff to develop the knowledge and skills needed. You’ll work through problems and questions similar to those given in the exams.
Sessions
Biology 3rd October - 9am to 3pm
Chemistry 5th October - 9am to 3pm
Physics 7th October - 9am to 3pm
Mathematics 12th October - 9am to 3pm
Statistics 13th October - 9am to 3pm
Costs
Biology, Chemistry and Physics scholarship days cost $25 per student.
Mathematics and Statistics scholarship days are free to attend.
