Description
New Zealand has a long and proud history of leadership on disarmament issues and is firmly committed to continuing this work. The Government remains focused on long-standing objectives including nuclear disarmament and strengthening International Humanitarian Law, while also facing future challenges such as autonomous weapons systems and ensuring the peaceful use of outer space. These are issues that will fundamentally affect the safety and security of future generations but the views and interests of young people in New Zealand are not well known.
