How to transform the teaching of reading?
In this talk, Thao and Say share their experience and insights from two different studies, one with young learners in Vietnam, the other with young adults in Lao PDR. In Vietnam, Thao explored the potential of changing course book dialogues into story telling opportunities. In Lao PDR, Say introduced a ‘culture of thinking’ into the reading classroom. Together they demonstrate how teachers can transform the teaching of English in the language classroom.
