616—Designing a morepork citizen science survey in Wellington City

Ever wondered how many morepork call Wellington home? We have! And we've decided that we need citizen scientists to help find the answer. This project will look at how we should perform surveys of one of our iconic native bird species that we hear so much more than we see. You will work with people from Greater Wellington Regional Council, Wellington City Council, Zealandia, Victoria University of Wellington and the public to look at how we can understand the data, turn it into maps, and make our surveys more efficient in the future.
