Abstract

Debates and discussions about China in Washington DC, in the mainstream media, and amongst scholars are more fraught and polarized than they've ever been. And then there's the business community which is divided between those who seek to profit from ties to China and those who see lucre in decoupling.

How can we understand where the United States' China policy is going, and how media, academia, and business both shape and are shaped by politics? Living in the heart of red state America in Nashville Tennessee and working for a New York based media company with deep ties to the DC establishment, Jeremy Goldkorn will give a tour of the forces shaping the most important bilateral relationship of our era.
