Society, public policy, and ethics

We're conducting research into the public policy implications of AIML technologies, as well as their ethical application to everyday life.

Artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques can improve effectiveness and efficiency in every day areas like:

• economic and financial modelling
• banking
• insurance
• human resources and management
• tourism.

However, there are ethical implications in the use of AIML in these areas. We need to develop public policies to manage the misuse and the potentially negative affects of these new technologies on people and communities.

CDSAI has been conducting research on both of these aspects.
