Passion for languages and creative writing leads to international publication
Charlie Hann is as passionate about ancient and modern languages — she is currently studying Greek, Latin, and Italian — as she is about creative writing, Star Wars, and Doctor Who. Her interest in how words, sentences, and meanings can change across languages and cultures, has enabled her to develop a natural and already impressive talent for literary translation. Charlie’s regular and intense practice of translation as part of her Italian assignments, has led to the publication of a sequence of poetry translations in Journal of Italian Translation, an international literary journal published in the US. Charlie Hann is third year student of Italian in the School of Languages and Cultures.
