Experience among Chinese Immigrants in New Zealand: An Ethnographic Study of Christianity and Identity in Migrant Communities

This research is an ethnography of how Chinese migrants engage with Christianity in New Zealand. In researching Chinese immigrants in New Zealand, this research project investigates how Christianity has shaped their migration experience. By focusing specifically on Chinese migrants in New Zealand I seek to contribute to scholarship on the increasingly diverse religious landscape in New Zealand and to expand the existing scholarship on Chinese migrants to include attention to the important dimension of religion.
