New Emeritus Professors

Emeritus Professor Appointments

Warmest congratulations to recently retired Professors John Pratt & Jan Jordan who have both been awarded the status of Emeritus Professor by the University in recognition of their distinguished contribution to teaching and research in the field of Criminology and in service to the University in general.

Both are longstanding members of the Institute of Criminology who are held in high esteem by their colleagues and widely recognised internationally for their research. We are delighted that the status of Emeritus Professor will allow both Jan and John to continue their involvement with the School of Social and Cultural Studies as mentors and supervisors.

Professor Jan Jordan is a long-serving member of the Institute of Criminology and was instrumental in building it over the last three decades into NZ’s leading criminology centre for research and teaching. Read moreJan Jordan picture
