One of the features of the 'Wan Solwara' Pasifika space on level 2 of the Kelburn Library, is a rotating exhibit of Pasifika artefacts on loan from the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.

The latest exhibit is an 'avar' (cooking pot) from the Bau pottery industry in Madang province, Papua New Guinea. The avar was made in around 1970 in Fulumu village.
