2016 Composers Competition winner announced

Marcus Jackson (third from left) has been awarded 1st place for his piece not here, but present for cello and percussion in the 2016 Composers Competition, held on Saturday evening.

The judges for the competition were James Clayton (Lecturer in Classical Performance, voice, NZSM), Alison Isadora (2016/2017 Creative New Zealand/Jack C. Richards Composer-in-Residence), and Dr Jim Murphy (Lecturer in Sonic Arts, NZSM).
