The powerful stories of 24 Māori academics' triumphs and challenges in Western dominated disciplines of knowledge have been collated in a new book, Ngā Kete Mātauranga: Māori scholars at the research interface. Associate Professor Ocean Mercier writes about the interconnected fluid journeys of science and mātauranga and Associate Professor Maria Bargh writes about opening up possible worlds for indigenous scholars in the disciplines of politics and policy.
