PhD student seeks perspectives on the health and wellbeing implications of remote working

Roya Gorjifard is exploring the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on the health and wellbeing of remote workers in New Zealand.

Anyone who worked from home using a computer or other IT during the Covid-19 lockdowns (between April 2020 and September 2022) in Aotearoa New Zealand is invited to participate in her research.

Roya is a research doctoral candidate in Te Kura Tātai Hauora—School of Health focusing on the impact of teleworking and hybrid working models as emerging work norms.

Roya's research aims to understand and analyse the hybrid model, exploring its effects on workers, work processes, and workplaces.

“My research intends to shed light on the implications of teleworking/hybrid working model and offer insights for organisations and individuals navigating this evolving work landscape.”

Roya has a Master of Engineering Safety, Health, and Environment from the University of Malaya and a BSc in Physics from Shiraz University.
