Dane Mitchell: Letters and Documents
An exhibition that brings an element of Dane Mitchell’s ‘Post Hoc’ installation for the 58th Venice Biennale together with works produced between 1998 and 2005.
Description
‘Letters and Documents’ is an exhibition that brings a key element of Dane Mitchell’s 2019 ‘Post Hoc’ installation for the 58th Venice Biennale together with works produced by the artist between 1998 and 2005. Focusing on the printed lists that were produced during the seven-month exhibition in Venice, this gathering of works charts a particular trajectory back to Mitchell’s earlier practice, bringing together drawings, printed documents, vinyl records and photographic documentation to reflect on how information and knowledge is conveyed, exchanged, withheld, remembered, and forgotten.
The Adam Art Gallery is open Tuesday–Friday, 11 am–5 pm.
