3D digital technology equipment

The Wellington Faculty of Architecture and Design Innovation 3D modelling workshop spaces include various types of digital fabrication equipment used for physical modelling by both students and staff for applied teaching and research. The equipment is used across all the academic programs run by the Faculty, and consists of the following:

  • four Modella MDX-40A CNC machines
  • three ULS laser cutters
  • one full sheet (2.4m x 1.2m) Techno CNC flatbed router
  • one HAAS CNC operated lathe
  • two Eden prototyping 3D printers (a 300 and a 350 V)
  • multiple in-studio 3D printing systems
  • UP desktop 3D printers.
