Phil is the digital fabrication technician for the Wellington Faculty of Architecture and Design Innovation, primarily responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of all digital manufacturing equipment. He is also responsible for building the internal capability of all digital fabrication technologies to enhance, service, and provision them and ensure best practices are implemented.
Phil has background in computer aided design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing processes and electro-mechanical design. Since serving his apprenticeship with Marconi Instruments, an international telecommunications company, Phil has worked in a number of engineering teams at all levels from project draughtsman to principal mechanical design engineer.
