Weekly workshop—mindwell meditation

  • Monday–Friday, 9.20 am throughout Trimester 1—beginning Monday 1 March

Connecting (on Zoom)

A quick 30-minute session. Learn to use core listening skills on how to host engaging conversation, ways to be a good friend, and how to keep conversations going in social situations.

Imposter Syndrome (on Zoom)

A 45-minute workshop. Imposter syndrome is feeling like a fraud, experiencing self-doubt, or feeling undeserving of your status. Share your experiences in a supportive, judgement-free space, and help separate fact from fiction. Work on creating a brag sheet to manage self-doubt, and a personal mantra to increase your self-confidence.

Nutrition

A 45-minute workshop. Learn about the components that make a healthy, balanced meal, and how to find cheap sources of food in Wellington. Discover how to use a meal planner to create a shopping list and stick to a budget.

Workload (on Zoom)

A 45-minute workshop. A safe space to talk about large and challenging pieces of work. Learn techniques to chunk work, increase comprehension, and create uninterrupted study time. Tips for dealing with frequent interruptions and keeping track of multiple tasks and activities across work and life.

Depression

A 45-minute workshop. Learn about the differences between grief, stress, and depression. Understand the cycle of depression and how behavioural activation techniques can help you with energy and motivation.

Negotiating (on Zoom)

A quick 30-minute session. Learn negotiation skills in easy steps, make requests, and resolve conflict. Develop strategies for creating win/win scenarios and learn how to compromise.
