Vic Books

Vic Books sells new and used textbooks and all student notes (compilations of selected readings). They are in direct contact with your lecturers and course administrators to make sure you have the correct textbooks. They have stores in the Easterfield Building on Kelburn campus and Ground Floor of Rutherford House on Pipitea campus.

Kelburn:
Monday–Friday: 8.00 am–5.30 pm
Saturday: 10.00 am–3.00 pm
Sunday: Closed (open Sunday 1 March 2020)

Pipitea:
Monday–Friday: 8.30 am–5.30 pm
Weekends: Closed

If you’re wondering what books and course materials you need, these lists are set by your lecturer. The items on the list play a vital role in your learning and are an essential part of your study. You can order from Vic Books in-store or online. When you order online, you can select to have your books delivered or collect in person at their Pipitea or Kelburn store. You can also select to collect from the Te Aro design campus.

Second-hand book sale

Second-hand books are sold at both of their stores. These are not available online and are quick to sell. You can also sell your first-hand textbooks to Vic Books. A full list of textbooks they are buying can be found in-store and on their website when textbook buyback is running.

Check Blackboard—as lecturers often use this to share course materials.
