Pasifika Law Students Society of Victoria University of Wellington

Provide support for Pasifika students throughout their journey at law school.

The Pasifika Law Students’ Society (PLSS) is a student society that aims to enhance the academic experience of Pasifika law students at the Faculty of Law through advocacy, and educational and social initiatives.

We take pride in our heritage by striving to promote Pacific culture within the Faculty of Law.

Our educational initiatives include the Pasifika Law and Culture Conference, PLSS Internal Moot, PLSS Networking Event and the Tamata Pasifika Series (seminars that provide law students with the opportunity to hear insights from Pasifika legal professionals).

In addition, our social initiatives comprise events which are often held in conjunction with Ngā Rāngahautira (Māori Law Student’s Association of the University).

These social initiatives include monthly breakfasts at the Old Bailey, BYO/Karaoke nights, and the Māori and Pasifika End of Year Dinner.
