Group to co-ordinate discussions, meetups and events related to the global Effective Altruism community.
Effective Altruism is a global network of people who care deeply about the world, make helping others a significant part of their lives, and use evidence and reason to figure out how best to do so.
Effective Altruism Wellington organises weekly events, including discussions, presentations from guest speakers, workshops, project groups, and a range of social evenings. These weekly events encourage people to engage with different aspects of effective altruism, have robust discussions, and take actions that make a positive impact in the world.
Effective Altruism Wellington is based at Victoria University of Wellington (Pipitea Campus), and is open to everyone, students and non-students alike.
