Muslims Students Association (VicMuslim)

We seek to make others more aware about Islam and Muslims, and ensure the needs of Muslim students are catered for.

The main focus of VicMuslims Club is to bring all Muslims together as well as closer to Allah the Almighty.

VicMuslims Club plays a significant role to carry out activities that will benefit the members and to bring all students closer to The Almighty. VicMuslims also promotes the awareness of other people towards Muslims and Islam. We also ensure that the basic needs of all Muslim students at Victoria University of Wellington are being catered to, which includes providing comfortable space for Muslims to perform prayer in VUW. This includes:

  • Kelburn campus—KK202A and KK201, Kirk Building
  • Te Aro Campus—Room VS 324, Vivian Street
  • Pipitea Campus—Room RH501, Rutherford House

Alhamdulillah, since 2015, Student Islamic Centre (SIC) in Kelburn campus which is originally situated at 86 Fairlie Terrace, Kelburn has moved to KK202A (male prayer room) and KK201(female prayer room) in Kirk Building. It provides a comfortable place for Muslim students to gather for prayers and conduct activities. We are hoping that the needs of the Muslim students at Victoria are being taken care of from time to time.

VicMuslims Club has been conducting vast of activities to promote the beauty of Islam and has been cooperating with many institutions and clubs to hold events.
