Waseda has only one application deadline a year. Applications for exchanges starting either Trimester Two the following year or Trimester One the year after that are all due on December 1st.

Course load
Japanese Language students:
Full time students are expected to take 12 credits for one year.
Other courses taught in English: Full time students are expected to take 16-28 credits for one year.
1 Waseda credit = 4 VUW points
Exchange restrictions
Exchange restricted to the School of International Liberal Studies and the Faculty of Political Science and Economics, with English-taught courses. Students should however must have studied at least one semester of Japanese language before attending Waseda University.
Students still can enroll in courses offered by other departments. Courses in which students from different department can enroll are called “Open Courses”.
