Free Chinese language courses are available to incoming exchange students.
Language of instruction is English and Chinese. Courses are offered in English in the following departments: China EU School of Law (CESL), International Law School. CESL is a one semester program starting in September (VUW T2 only).

On-campus Accommodation:
Dorm rooms will be made available for incoming exchange students. You do not need to apply in advance-exchange students can visit the accommodation office when they arrive and the accommodation staff will help you finish the required accommodation registration form. Please visit the accommodation office within 24 hours of arriving at CUPL and bring your passport with you.
Once an Accommodation Agreement has been signed by both parties (the School of International Studies and student) you will be given your room key.
Off-Campus Accommodation:
You are completely responsible for your own safety while living off the campus. We do not offer any house renting services.
Visa:
Students studying at CUPL for a single semester are to apply for a X2 Visa. CUPL can help students get twice entries after arrival.
Students studying at CUPL for a full year (2 semesters) are to apply for a X1 Visa. CUPL will help you apply for residence permit after your arrival.

Course load
Fall semester: Early September to late January. Spring semester: Late February to mid July.
A full-time courseload is 20 credits (18hrs per credit).
