Academic Requirements: Students must have completed at least two years of university studies before they go on exchange.

The majority of courses are taught in Spanish. From 2014 (Spring semester), all students who submit an official certificate (issued or validated by VUW) indicating that they have a C1-Spanish language level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, shall be exempted from the placement test and from taking a required Spanish course during the semester.

Students who don't have a C1-Spanish language level need to take the Spanish placement test at UCA upon arrival. Students who do not reach the “Advanced” level, must attend a Spanish course during their exchange period. This course can be taken at UCA at a reduced rate for exchange students or at any private institute.
