Exchange students have the opportunity to study in English, French or a combination of both languages.
Academic Requirements: Undergraduate students must have completed at least four semesters of full-time, undergraduate studies at the time of beginning their exchange in order to be eligible for the undergraduate exchange programme.
Postgraduate students must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree or have completed at least six semesters of undergraduate studies in order to be eligible for the graduate exchange programme. They will also be attached to a specific Masters programme and may not take courses in different Masters programmes. Some postgraduate courses are not open to exchange students and some others may demand academic prerequisites.

1 or 2 Trimesters
Undergraduate: Maximum of 30 ECTS per semester.
Postgraduate: Maximum of 24 ECTS per semester.
Usually made up of one ‘lecture’ course worth 10 ECTS and other ‘Seminar’ or ‘elective’ courses worth 4 or 5 ECTS.
1 ECTS = 2 VUW points
Law: 5 courses = 60 VUW points
