Ideally apply by December 1st for exchange during VUW's Trimester 2 or Trimester 1 the following year to secure courses for your exchange period. However, students can apply at both deadlines.
Schulich School of Law only has one application intake per year and students should apply in the December 1st selection round for exchanges in Trimester 2 the same year, or Trimester 1 the following year. *If you miss this deadline, check with Wellington Global Exchange to see if you can apply late.

Course load
Exchange students are required to take a minimum of 3 courses (1.5 credits/9 credit hours) per semester but are permitted to take up to 5 courses per semester. Most single term courses are worth 0.5 credits or 3 credit hours. A full course load is 5 courses or 2.5 credits/15 credit hours per semester.
VUW students should enrol in at least 4 courses (12 credit hours) per semester.
Generally 100 or 200 transfer as Victoria 100 level and 300 or 400 level upper as 200 or 300 level.
0.5 Credit/3 Credit hours = 15 VUW points
Law: 1 credit hour = 5 VUW pts
LAW: Law exchange students are expected to complete courses adding up to 12-17 credit hours each term, or 29 – 31 credit hours over the full year. Exchange students are not required to take a major paper course, and are not allowed to take more than one major paper course.

Exchange restrictions
Architecture available at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. Architecture exchanges are only for one trimester, and only available in Trimester 2 (Dalhousie Fall Session). This exchange does not work for UG architecture students.
