What is a resilient destination? What will global tourism look like in 2025? What will New Zealand tourism look like post COVID-19? Three leading futurists will address these questions based upon scenarios developed by the Dutch based Centre of Expertise Leisure Tourism & Hospitality (CELTH) and European Tourism Futures Institute.

Will it be ‘business as usual’ or will it become ‘survival of the fittest’? Will this crisis lead to ‘business as unusual’ with a visitor economy in transition or ‘responsible tourism’. Using these scenarios as a framework, we identify the key uncertainties, ideas, opportunities and risks.
