Ten and Two Thirds (Years)
Now…now…now….if not now, when? Ten and Two-Thirds (Years) was devised by students from Megan Evans THEA 307 Physical Theatre 2019 and has been re-worked for NZ Fringe 2020.
The title is inspired by the Oct 2018 IPCC report giving us about 12 years to make the radical changes needed to avert the worst impacts of climate breakdown. The show runs 60 minutes and is performed all in slow tempo to a rich soundscape but with no spoke language. It follows 2 travellers as they explore an uncertain near future, witnessing scenes of excess, beauty and desolation. Hope? Despair? Both are luxuries. What will you do with this ‘now’?
