Sir Paul Callaghan Prize
$250 (subject to available funds)
No application required
The prize is awarded to the top student in trimester 1, 400-level physics.
Sir Paul had a generous willingness to embrace others' ideas and learn from his students, so we feel it is fitting to honour his legacy by establishing a prize in his name to be awarded annually to a talented fourth year (Honours) student majoring in Physics.
The prize is awarded on the recommendation of the Head of the School of Chemical and Physical Sciences (or their delegate), the physics program coordinator, and the 400-level physics coordinator.
Recipients will be asked to write a letter of thanks, which will be forwarded appropriately.
