Komiti Pasifika
The Komiti works with the AVC (Pasifika), providing strategic advice and monitoring the Pasifika staff and student Success Plans for the University.
Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington’s Komiti Pasifika is the University’s advisory committee on matters relating to Pasifika. It is chaired by and reports to the Vice-Chancellor via the Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Pasifika).
The Komiti, established in 2011, is made up of alumni members of the University Pasifika community with significant experience and expertise across the legal, science and medical, education, accounting and economics, culture and heritage and artistic fields.
The Komiti works with the Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Pasifika), on a range of projects including the Pasifika Students’ Success Plan and Pasifika Staff Success Plan. They also provide strategic advice on matters of importance for Pasifika to the Vice-Chancellor.
