NZSM Students successful in Wellington Vocal Competitions
NZSM voice students had a successful weekend of competitions recently
2020 NZSM graduate Michaela Cadwgan won the Wellington Aria and Rosina Buckman Memorial Cup with Morgan King the runner up.
Morgan also won the New Zealand Composer McMasters Cup, German Lieder F Purvis Challenge Cup for Gentlemen and the Orpheus Choir Trophy for the highest aggregate marks!
Samuel McKeever won the Young Aria Entrant with most potential and the Challenge Cup for highest mark in Modern English art song .
Tomairangi Henare won Under 21s Modern English art song R H Nimmo Challenge Cup and the Gilbert and Sullivan Hamilton Dickson Memorial Trophy.
Several of the first and second year students won prizes as well.
With so many prize winners in the cast we look forward to hearing the singers in Orpheus in the Underworld 3-5th September!
