Dr Graeme Macrae

Dr Graeme Macrae is senior lecturer in the School of People, Environment and Planning at Massey University.

Graeme MacRae trained as an architect then anthropologist in Australia and Aotearoa/New Zealand.

While his primary research has been in Indonesia (mostly Bali) he has maintained a second stream of comparative research in India, including temple architecture in Tamil Nadu and recently on basmati rice and mountain cultural ecology in the north. He teaches anthropology at Massey University in Auckland.
