New University Librarian announced

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Trish Wilson has been appointed as the new Te Paetara—University Librarian at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Trish is currently Te Paetara Tuarua—Deputy University Librarian, having held a range of leadership roles in the Library at Te Herenga Waka for just over eleven years. She has extensive prior experience, having previously worked in libraries in government agencies and both New Zealand and Australian universities. Trish is currently Chair of the International Association of University Libraries Special Interest Group for metrics and research impact and is extremely well regarded by her library colleagues nationally and internationally. Trish brings strong strategic leadership and interpersonal skills to her new role, as well as practical skills and awareness of digital technologies and scholarly publishing trends in a university environment.
