Library services during the University closedown

The physical libraries are closed but you can still access our online library and the Library team

The physical libraries are closed but our online library is open and our staff are ready to support you with your study, teaching, and research needs.

You can

  • Research and study using our extensive digital resources, which include ebooks, articles, and online videos to name a few – if you need help getting started with searching or accessing digital resources, please contact us
  • Contact us via email at or your subject librarian directly
  • Book a 1 on 1 appointment with a subject librarian (and Student Learning as well)
  • Obtain copies of articles or chapters digitally from another library still operating
  • Submit the electronic copy of your thesis and permission form – you do not need to submit the physical version at this time

You can’t

  • Come into the physical libraries
  • Call us by phone – currently the best way to contact us is via email
  • Borrow or return books (if you have a book that is out on loan please hold on to it until we re-open – we are waiving all fines for this period)
  • Submit the physical version of your thesis – we will accept physical copies in the future when it is appropriate to do so
  • Obtain physical interloan items
  • Order new hard-copy books
  • Get physical items digitised
