Library Services at Traffic Light 'Orange'
From Thursday 14 April 2022 all of New Zealand is at an Orange setting and as of Tuesday 26 April the University's vaccine mandate has been discontinued. Library services and operations are described below:
Library Spaces
You will need your student ID card to enter on to campus. ID card swipe machines are set up at each of the campus entrances.
We ask that those using the library space adhere to physical distancing requirements and follow the hygiene practices advised by the Ministry of Health.
Further information on the COVID-19 traffic light system including wearing of masks can be found on the University's COVID-19 webpage.
Computer and Printing services will be available. If you have any issues with printing please contact Digital Solutions (there will be contact details at each of the printers)
Group study rooms will be available to book but will have the appropriate number of chairs in each based on physical distancing requirements.
- The Kelburn library currently has six floors available for study space sectioned into a variety of blue (quiet study) and green (collaborative study) zones.
- If you prefer to use a study space in the inner city, we’ve got that covered for you too. Te Aro campus library is located on Vivian Street.
- The Commerce and Law libraries at Pipitea campus are also available for your use and near to the bus terminus and railway station.

You can book online assignments and research consultations with your subject librarian.
Library staff are near to contact tracing points so please do ask if you require any assistance.

You can still continue to access our extensive digital collection for your research and assignment needs. Search the library’s discovery system here https://www.wgtn.ac.nz/library
If you are self-isolating, library books are available through our Click and Post service.
Thesis Deposit
Online thesis deposit will continue to be available.
