Library Services at Alert Level 2 (updated 20 August)

At Alert Level 2 most of our key services are operational, however there are a few key things you need to know.

Library Spaces

From Saturday 22nd August, Alert level 2 library hours change to:

  • All campus libraries open Saturday and Sunday 10am–3pm.
  • All campus libraries will be open Monday–Friday 8.30am–8pm (exception Commerce library closes at 5pm).

You will need your student ID card to enter all buildings around campus, including the Library. This is for contact tracing purposes

We will have computers available for you to use. We will provide you with a wet wipe to wipe down the computer before you use it

Printing services will be available. If you have any issues with printing please contact Digital Solutions (there will be contact details at each of the printers)

Group study rooms will be available to book but will have the appropriate number of chairs in each based on physical distancing requirements.

We ask that those using the library space adhere to physical distancing requirements outlined by the Ministry of Health

Needing to Talk to a Librarian

Contact us via email at or your subject librarian directly

Library staff are stationed at the contact tracing points so please do ask if you require any assistance.

Library Books

You can still continue to access our extensive digital collection for your research and assignment needs.

If you have a book you are welcome to return it to us. No rush on this though, just when you can.

We have resumed book purchasing. Please note that there may be shipping delays from our suppliers
