Library Services at Alert Level 2
At Alert Level 2 most of our key services are up and running and these take effect from Monday 4 October 2021. There are a few key things you need to know.
- The Kelburn library currently has six floors available for study space sectioned into a variety of blue (quiet study) and green (collaborative study) zones. Kelburn library will be open Monday to Friday 8.00am-midnight, and Saturday and Sunday 10am-10pm.
- If you prefer to use a study space in the inner city, we’ve got that covered for you too. Te Aro campus library will be open Monday to Friday 8.00am-midnight, and Saturday and Sunday 10am-10pm.
- The Commerce and Law libraries at Pipitea campus will be open Monday–Friday 8.00am–midnight, and Saturday and Sunday 10am-10pm.
You will need your student ID card to enter all buildings around campus, including the Library. This is for contact tracing purposes and ID card swipe machines and QR codes are set up at each of the library entrances.
Computer and Printing services will be available. If you have any issues with printing please contact Digital Solutions (there will be contact details at each of the printers)
Group study rooms will be available to book but will have the appropriate number of chairs in each based on physical distancing requirements.
We ask that those using the library space adhere to physical distancing requirements outlined by the Ministry of Health
Needing to Talk to a Librarian
Library staff are close by to contact tracing points so please do ask if you require any assistance
You can still continue to access our extensive digital collection for your research and assignment needs. Search the library’s discovery system here https://www.wgtn.ac.nz/library
If you have a book you are welcome to return it to us. No rush on this though, just when you can.
Online thesis deposit will continue to be available.
