Library Services at Alert Level 2

At Alert Level 2 most of our key services are back up and running, however there are a few key things you need to know.

Library Spaces

The Kelburn campus library will be open Monday–Friday 8.30am–8pm.
Te Aro and Pipitea campus libraries will be open 8.30am–5pm.
All libraries open 10am–5pm Saturday and closed Sunday.

You will need your student ID card to enter all buildings around campus, including the Library. This is for contact tracing purposes

We will have computers available for you to use. We will provide you with a wet wipe to wipe down the computer before you use it

Printing services will be available. If you have any issues with printing please contact ITS (there will be contact details at each of the printers)

Group study rooms will be available to book but will have the appropriate number of chairs in each based on physical distancing requirements.

We ask that those using the library space adhere to physical distancing requirements outlined by the Ministry of Health

Library Books

You can still continue to access our extensive digital collection for your research and assignment needs.

If you have a book you are welcome to return it to us. No rush on this though, just when you can.

We have resumed book purchasing. Please note that there may be shipping delays from our suppliers

The Interloan Service is currently limited to journal articles and chapters only

Full Interloan services between New Zealand libraries will resume on Monday 8 June 2020.

Please note:

  • Books may take longer than usual to arrive due to mail delays
  • International requests are currently limited to scanned journal articles and chapters only

Our service for distance students is back up and running

We will be continuing to offer our Click and Courier/Collect services for physical library resources.  If you are currently living outside of Wellington we can courier items to you ; if you are based in Wellington you can Click and Collect ; and we can scan and email a chapter of a book for your research or study needs (in accordance with copyright legislation)
