Has the rise in trust in government institutions between 2016 and 2018 been sustained? Which institutions do we trust more in 2019 than in 2018 -- and which less?
Simon Chapple, Director of the IGPS, will present the latest results on general, personal and institutional trust from our 2019 Trust Survey, and compare these with the results of our earlier surveys in 2016 and 2018. Questions which arise include, what is the relationship between reported trust and people’s left-wing/right-wing positioning on the political spectrum? What does the survey tell us about perceptions of corruption? All this and more will be up for discussion.
